"Yeah, I break for birds. I rock a lot of polka dots. And I have touched glitter in the last twenty-four hours.

I'm sorry I don't talk like Murphy Brown and I hate your pant suit. I wish it had ribbons on it or something to make it just slightly cuter. And that doesn't mean that im not smart, and tough, and strong."

"Don’t be afraid to fall in love, It’s the only thing that matters in life. Fall in love with as many things as possible."

Kelly Cantor, Country Strong
"Just because somebody hurt us once doesn't mean we need to delete them from our phonebook. Things change. People grow."

Ashley Marin, Pretty Little Liars
"I've heard that it's possible to grow up, I've just never met anyone who's actually done it. Without parents to defy, we break the rules we make for ourselves. We throw tantrums when things don't go our way, we whisper secrets to our best friends in the dark, we look for comfort where we can find it, and we hope, against all logic, against all experience. Like children, we never give up hope."

"I hate the way you're always right,
I hate it when you lie.
I hate it when you make me laugh,
even worse when you make me cry.

I hate it when you're not around
and the fact that you didn't call.
But mostly I hate the way
I don't hate you,
Not even close, not even a little bit,
Not even at all."

"Honey, you have to let it go. If I worried what every bitch in New York was saying about me, I'd never leave the house."

Samantha Jones, Sex and the City

"I don't like relationships. I just end up with a broken heart and a bunch of his old t-shirts."

"What do I do now that you're gone... All I can hear in the silence that remains are the words I couldn't say."

Leighton Meester, Words I Couldn't Say
"They say when you've fallen off a horse, the first thing you've gotta do, of course, is... climb right back on."

Gwyneth Paltrow, A Fighter

*I can't help but quote every song from this album (and I'm getting close), but the songs that they chose for this movie really hit home for me. I think that's part of country music's charm, though... the fact that it can be so general and so specific at the same time. Everyone can relate to it in their own way, causing the lyrics to transform into the eye of the beholder (or should I say, the ear). Anyways, this song particularly struck me in a way that I don't even think it was supposed to.

The song is about fighting for a love that's fading... but out of context, this line in the song can really be applied love in general. So much of me wants to sport the Miranda motto, "I've given up on love cause love's given up on me," but I can't help but be inspired by the words of this song to walk it off and get back in the race.

"On the outside I look fragile,
but, on the inside, there's
something you can't crush.
I'm country strong,
hard to break,
like the ground I grew up on.
You may fool me,
and I'll fall,
but I won't stay down long."

Carrie: "...'And Cinderella and the prince lived happily ever after.' You know that this is just a fairytale, right, sweetheart? I mean things don't always happen like this in real life. I just think you should know that now."

Lily: "Again!"

Carrie: "And another one bites the dust..."

Love/Addiction

"The thing about addiction is, it never ends well. Because eventually, whatever it is that was getting us high, stops feeling good, and starts to hurt. Still, they say you don't kick the habit until you hit rock bottom. But how do you know when you are there? Because no matter how badly a thing is hurting us, sometimes, letting it go hurts even worse."

You had me at "Love & Other Drugs"

"This isn't about connection for you. This isn't even about sex for you. This is about finding an hour or two of relief from the pain of being you. And that's fine with me because all I want is the exact same thing."

*I can't wait to see this movie... The title alone had me at hello. Anne Hathaway isn't my favorite, but I won't mind staring at Jake Gyllenhaal for 2 hours. See you Nov. 24, Jake.

"True love cannot be found where it does not truly exist, nor can it be hidden where it truly does."

Max Abbitt, Kissing a Fool
"Too often, the thing you want most is the one thing you can't have. Desire leaves us heartbroken, it wears us out. Desire can wreck your life. But as tough as wanting something can be, the people who suffer the most are those who don't know what they want."

Ellen Pompeo as Meredith on Grey's Anatomy

"Maybe we like the pain. Maybe we're wired that way. Because without it, I don't know; maybe we just wouldn't feel real. What's that saying? Why do I keep hitting myself with a hammer? Because it feels so good when I stop."

Current Obsession (V)

Grey's
Anatomy:
The
Beginning

I've been watching seasons one through three of Grey's, and I have fallen in love again. I absolutely love everything about this show... except for the fact that I only own up to season three. I guess I know what to ask for as a birthday present...
